Action Plan:

Equipping Missionaries and Focusing on God's Kingdom

Objective:

To address the lack of equipped missionaries by refocusing on God's Kingdom and nurturing authentic discipleship.

Problem Statement:

Lack of equipped missionaries due to a loss of authentic identity in Christ and a focus on evangelism by others.

Solution:

Changing Our Focus to God's Kingdom Expansion.

1. Discipleship and Spiritual Formation:

  • Implement a comprehensive discipleship program within the organization.

  • Conduct regular Bible studies, prayer meetings, and theological training to deepen members' understanding of their faith.

  • Encourage personal spiritual growth and relationship with the Holy Spirit.

2. Kingdom-Centric Approach:

  • Shift the organization's focus from worldly concerns to God's Kingdom.

  • Emphasize the importance of carrying out the Great Commission as missionaries of God's Word.

  • Promote a Kingdom-minded worldview among members.

3. Training and Equipping:

  • Develop training modules and workshops on evangelism, missions, and spiritual gifts.

  • Provide opportunities for members to learn and practice effective evangelism and mission strategies.

  • Encourage the development of spiritual gifts to fulfill Kingdom missions.

To build and safeguard the Temple of the Holy Spirit, we must adhere to standards of physical well-being, nutrition, and training in our daily lives. This sacred dwelling place is often likened to a fortress, and its successful maintenance relies on both offensive and defensive capabilities as well as long-term sustainability for its flourishing.

Major Richard "Dick" Winters, a highly decorated war veteran who led Easy Company during World War II, encapsulated this idea perfectly in his book 'Beyond Band of Brothers:”

“Because I was in such strong physical fitness, my fatigue level never reached the point of physical exhaustion, that contributes to mental exhaustion, and ultimately to combat fatigue. We all experienced sleep deprivation at times; that is the nature of stress, but a physically exhausted leader routinely makes poor decisions in times of crisis.”

- Dick Winters
