There Will Be LGBTQ People in Heaven.

The Church has done a shitty job of making you feel welcome and for that I am very, truly sorry.

You say to those Pharisees,“Jesus loves me for who I am, even if you do not. And that, my friend, is all that matters."

Matthew 5:22 ESV

But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire.

Anyone who has made you feel unwelcome in Church is a hypocrite and doesn't understand the Bible, nor Jesus’ love and promise of salvation to anybody who seeks after Him. Anybody who says LGBTQ people have no place in church will themselves be signing their own condemnation.

LGBTQ People belong in church and Jesus wants you to seek him.

Jesus spent time with prostitutes and tax collectors and the Pharisees called him vial and blasphemous…

In Matthew 11:18-19,

"For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’ 19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is proved right by her deeds.”

Anybody who says you don't belong in the presence of Jesus is like the Pharisees. They are hypocrites and liars.

Luke 7:36-50 - A Sinful Woman Forgiven

36 One of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him, and he went into the Pharisee's house and reclined at table. 37 And behold, a woman of the city, who was a sinner, when she learned that he was reclining at table in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment, 38 and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head and kissed his feet and anointed them with the ointment. 39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner.”

Even this woman with all of the baggage of sin she was carrying, Jesus still forgave her of everything but the Pharisees were the ones who said it was wrong. Don’t let modern day Pharisees at Church tell you you don’t belong. You are exactly where you belong!

Jesus died for our sins, all of our sins, only one thing can destroy that salvation, and being LGBTQ is not one of them.

It doesn't matter if you are LGBTQ or straight, God doesn't see how we have sinned, he simply sees sin as sin. Small sins or big sins it doesn't matter. And here is the thing, Jesus died for our sins so who are we to judge others by their type of sexuality or gender? We all sin just as bad or worse as the next person. I myself will be the first to admit to all of the horrible sinful things I’ve done in my life. When you get to know me and my past, you will soon realize that I might likely be the most broken person you have ever met but here is the great thing about that…

… I might also be the most forgiven by Jesus’ death on the cross which removed all of my sins and made me a forgiven child of God just like you will be.

If Jesus were alive today he would be preaching to the LGBTQ community, He'd be healing the sick, and teaching God's word.

Things to remember:

  1. There will be LGBTQ people in heaven.

  2. Jesus loves you.

  3. We want to be a resource for you. A safe place, to learn more about Jesus.

  4. People who have made you feel outcast and downtrod are likely more broken than you are and just don’t know how to truly give their life to Christ.

  5. Christian’s are simply people who have given their life to Christ but that doesn’t always make them good people. We are all just as broken in this broken world.

  6. Please forgive us for what we say or do that makes you feel uncomfortable or unwanted.

When Jesus was hanging on the cross, do you know what he said… “Forgive Them…”

The Crucifixion

…33When they came to the place called The Skull, they crucified Him there, along with the criminals, one on His right and the other on His left. 34Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up His garments by casting lots. 35The people stood watching, and the rulers sneered at Him, saying, “He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ of God, the Chosen One.”…

If we could all practice more forgiveness in this world, there would be more gratitude and prosperity between all of our communities.

You can be LGBTQ and still love Jesus and spend eternity in heaven with the King of Kings!

You deserve to be in Church just like the rest of us broken people. Jesus calls all who are weary from this world to rely on his strength and his promise of salvation. If anybody gives you are hard time about being in church, if they look at you the wrong way, or try to ignore you, you walk right up to them and you give them this message:

"I have every right to be here just as you do. We are all broken people.

I'm here to meet Jesus and spend time with my Father, just as you. I'm not here to make you accept me for who I am, I'm here to spend time with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Jesus loves me for who I am, even if you do not. And that, my friend, is all that matters."
